Aaaugh, why did I not take the day off! I hate going to work after getting a filling! My lip is swollen (it doesn't just feel it, I can see it in the mirror, I can barely talk or drink water, I neglected to eat anything besides the sandwich after I said I was hungry and it'll be hours before I can think of trying to eat anything solid. I packed myself rice with cheese and jalapenos, and bullion to cook that in until it's mush.
Dr. Nalchajian's theme of the day (and Tuesday) was books that haven't been amusing him. He's been trying to read The Armenians and finding it incredibly dull, beaten out only by the other book on his nightstand being about deep sea fly fishing. ("Pages of knots. I'm going fishing in Northern Maine this summer, but I don't think I'm going to need to know the Bimini Twist. And all about the life cycles of the caddis fly and the mayfly. I hate bugs!") So he ended up taking Good Omens because it looked more amusing than A Canticle for Leibowitz, but he said he'll take that next, only his wife will not be pleased if he brings two books into the house when she's trying to make him get rid of some. I took two books from him; Gangs of New York and The Constant Gardener. He says the latter is conspiracy theory about Big Pharmacy.
I did have a couple of twinges of something resembling pain, today.
Must run.
