Lest it be lost to the mists of my uncertain memory forever:

Somewhere, in someone's cellphone, there sits a photo of me grinning my fool head off, next to [livejournal.com profile] eor and [livejournal.com profile] lucylou. And last night I got to sit right next to Lucy and watch pictures appear magically beneath her pen. It was kind of amazing. :) It was a 'drink and draw' party; they handed around a sketch pad and each person was adding the next panel to a comic. I didn't get to see what Kean Soo drew, as he was sitting to my left, so I hope that comic gets posted somewhere! And I wish I knew the names of the people or person who drew the first two frames. (I should have picked up the name of the girl who had her turn just before Lucy, because I got a quick look at her ID, but was too slow focusing.)

Seriously, though and aside from the weird-and-yet-not-weird-at-all feeling of sitting right next to Lucy (who is pretty much exactly like I thought she would be, only with a shorter nose and a cuter boyfriend than I'd imagined), there was a wonderful low-key comfortableness about that drink and draw party - it hearkened right back to my youth, when I used to drink coffee brandy with milk and draw with my best bud, Tree, for hours on end. I kind of wish I could get with a group that did that sort of thing every week.

Ta da! Courtesy of facebook.
The other pals in attendance were Maris Wicks and Joe Quinones-- totally fab arteests.
It was great seeing you guys-- thank you for coming and hanging out with me. Next time, perhaps we should do so without the convention craziness!
My nose's smallness rivals nano-robotics in it's improbably functionality despite it's size.
