Wow, I get the computer back only to lose internet connectivity. It's been out since sometime last night. *waves* Love you all, but I have to go to bed, now. Hope I can read you when I wake up.

PS - I adore my brother, the visit has been great. Currently he's hanging with Dad, who knows where, and he might show up tomorrow night again for a short while before flying out Thursday morning - but then again he might spend that evening with his friend, D.

(D has an amazingly adorable little girl who's six and a half and can sign her name and played drawing games with Eor and me for quite some time the other night. Eor is not a kid person, but she had him charmed in no time, it was amusing. And I think he had her charmed, too, because when he went outside for some air (we were at a pub) she asked me, quite concerned, "He will come back, won't he?" Perhaps I should say that Eor does not generally think of himself as a kid person, but my observation is that he really seems to relate well with them when he gets the chance.)

Oh, my Aunt B.J. has had at least seven people she knows die over this summer, with the result she's being super sweet to the rest of us.

I need like crazy to get back to writing a journal, I definitely need the outlet.

I think you're right. :) And I suspect the folk belief that kids like anyone who doesn't like them is because for some kids it's a novel experience to have someone not cooing over them. A statement of 'go away, you annoy me' might be their first encounter with someone using a normal voice on them.
