Really tired; t's been a couple of long days at work - ten yesterday, nine and a half today - teaching people. And there's something about sedentary work that's more tiring to me. Or maybe it's the stress of having to act like I know what I'm doing when I don't, since this is the first time I've done this class start to finish. Honestly, I know I've supposedly done part of it before, but it seemed completely different this time.
Our students all passed, bar one who didn't show up. I suspect he and another guy got into a drinking contest last night. The other guy showed but had by far the worst score on the test, which I totally didn't expect because he's a smart guy. Doesn't really matter, though - it's a pass/fail kind of thing as far as we're concerned.
And then of course the driving to and from work in the storm. And leaving the car at the Rite Aid up the street so that the plow guy could do his work on our lot, then fetching it later, and clearing the slush from around the drain down by the storage area so that our stuff hopefully doesn't get flooded. Sometimes it feels almost like another full time job just dealing with winter. We had leftovers for dinner, but then I cooked more food so we'd have lunches for the next couple of days.
Now the thermostat has set itself down for the evening and my wet pantcuffs are making me quite chilled, so I guess I might as well go to bed.
