My coworker, Moose, told me about people who died of brain-eating bacteria after not following the neti pot instructions carefully enough. Be assured, I always use filtered AND boiled water in my neti pot. I always have, and now I always will. (I'm not as good about washing the neti pot, but then I don't live in Louisiana, either.)
