Controversial science of brain imaging - Brain activity found in dead Atlantic salmon! (or, maybe this technique is not as accurate as we had hoped.) I read an awfully good book a while back about how people's brains are wired differently (and how that affects how you need to interact with them) which used a lot of fMRI brain imaging to support it's arguments, and now this brings it into question for me. I still think, though, that probably a lot of what it had to say seems to follow through in real life.

Lost count at three, because easily distracted and forget the numbers. That was WAY before the gorilla wandered through! Um... I guess I fail at cognition *g*

If you saw the gorilla you're much better off than I! ;) I hate to admit it, but I really was one of those people who concentrated so hard on getting the right count that I was like "why's that black shirt dude getting in my way?"

You have awesome concentration, be glad about that! I got to one-two-three, and then got distracted by the ball-bouncing, and then remembered the players were American and were playing basketball not netball and that bounces are (probably, maybe) allowed in basketball and that it didn't matter anyway because we were supposed to be watching throws not illegal netball moves, and by then it was hard to guess how many throws I'd missed. And then I was wondering whether the two teams were exchanging balls so it might be necessary to watch both, which was too hard even to attempt, and then figured they probably weren't because that would be quite tricky for the players as well as the watchers (especially when there was a gorilla trying to distract us, and goodness knows I don't need a gorilla for that!)
