Eor has already blogged about this, but I wanted to do a follow up because I'm just reading the article, now. Her hobby is burlesque dancing, so of course that's what the news picks up on. Still, they make a good point - regardless of the fact that she has this hobby, she not only won the school board seat, but with far fewer campaign contributions and much less money spent than her opponent threw into it. Something like less than $800 vs over $4,000, if I'm adding that up right? I think she won because she's known to be a good teacher and a person of conviction, and that's what matters.
