Not too very impressed with Goodwin Chevrolet in Brunswick at the moment. Last week I went to them asking for a state inspection - my sticker isn't due until August, but I thought I might get it on the same schedule as Eor's van. They found a bunch of stuff to do, I waited around for three hours, paid nearly $600, and finally got my car back, and it ran much better. All fine, except after a few days I realized I did not have a May inspection sticker for next year. It was still the one due in August of this year.
Today I went back, thinking it was just a matter of slapping a sticker on it, since they had surely done everything that could be done, right? Wrong. They came up with ANOTHER $550 worth of work to do. I had to tell them I really can't afford that again so soon, my credit card can't take it (paying it off is already going to be difficult), but inside I was wondering how they could suddenly have uncovered brake line work that apparently didn't need to be done last week.
