We went with a group organized by Eor's coworker and hiked Tumbledown Mountain in Weld. The weather got so warm, so quickly, and today was quite hot and muggy. I really wasn't ready for that. And I wasn't ready for a real hike. When I started having chills I laid my overshirt down, stretched out on the trail and attempted to drink water. Although the effect of trying to drink lying down was nearly drowing myself as I poured water all over my face and front, filling my nose. :) I did, eventually, make it to the top, and back down, and nobody had to carry me. My knees are NOT happy, of course. But I think I'll sleep tonight.
Or at least I will if I can find some earplugs. Last night was the first with the windows open, and a bird sang ALL effing night. Our neighbor the hotel is pressing Freeport for a quiet zone for the trains, so that they don't blow their whistles and wake the guests, but they over-illuminate their area and keep the birds awake all night. I personally find the train a whole lot less disruptive.
Tomorrow we get to see the insides of all those houses we drove by the other day, so it's going to be another long day, with a hundred miles or so of driving. :)
