We're about worn out with the house hunting. This last one, today, was a most difficult choice to decide against, because we were feeling like it was our last chance. It had a lot to recommend it, but my opinion ended up being that it would pauper us trying to heat it. Too damned big. It had some gorgeous (non-working) fireplaces, though. And crazy, crazy stuff like a door in the back of a room that opened into an apartment. There was also a tiny door leading into an eave that had a hole up through it. When you stuck your head up through the hole you realized it was the old roof, with the shingles still on, and there was a huge unused space between the old roof and the new roof.
*sigh* I love weird shit like that, even though I'm sure living in it would have given me nightmares.

... sorry, I'm currently stomping on The Dreams In The Witch-House and The Hounds of Tindalos about equally and it makes language hard. Um. I'm sure the place would've been awesome but yeah, taking care of it would've been a bear.
