Very grateful to Littleredhead and Groundctrl for taking us out to dinner and getting us out of our own heads, yesterday. We had a lovely walk around Wiscasset - the fog and burned off and the air was slightly crisp - looking at all the decrepit houses for sale and walking out on the dock to smell the ocean. Very calming and cheering. :)
And then we came home to discover that our neighbors guests for the night had parked in our spot. Our neighbors are running their place as a bed and breakfast on the weekends, which is distinctly Not Okay by the condo docs and they have already received a cease and desist notice. I suppose these people had booked before they got that.
Anyway, our mood was good enough that I just left a note on their windshield saying "The tow truck is on the way," and didn't actually call a tow truck. :)
I have yet to attend to the unpleasant task of writing a note to the neighbors in the house down the hill asking them to no longer allow their child onto our property. He's destroyed a huge swathe of the wildflowers I seeded, leaving the hillside susceptible to erosion. I think he was after killing bamboo, which I approve of, but he doesn't pull it up and collect it, he just destroys everything in his path.
