It is the House's job to come up with a budget and they haven't done it in years. They've done stop-gap bills and continuing resolutions, but not done the whole process. Kind of like our condo association. We can't sell our condo until they work out a budget, because no bank will give a loan to someone who wants to buy into an association that's not fiscally sound. Kind of like the US is in threat of losing the AAA credit rating.

So... I'm actually signing up for NaNo. I've been so depressed and stressed lately, it just seemed time to start something new.
