I never intended to write any themes into my story, but they seem to be emerging. I'm debating changing the title to something that involves fire. "Three Fires and ...Lots Of Goats" or "Five Fires, Two Of Them Metaphorical." (And yes, I know those are completely awkward, dorktastic titles, that's how I am with titles.)

Or "Tried By Fire," which was the play that people in a Wodehouse book which I'm reading right now ("Jill the Reckless") were watching when the theatre caught on fire. (I'm reading Wodehouse in my off time to try to reinforce whatever Wodehousian turns my writing may naturally have.)

Eor thinks I could go with "Burning Desire," as a spoof on romance novels because my story is a romantic comedy. ;) But now he's spoofing off on the goats: "Mr. Charles and the Nanny," he says, or "The Adventure of the Adventurous Nanny." "Of Novels and Nannies," because the main character is a writer.
