Hm. I may be taking leave of my senses, but because it's so hard to find a mophead to fit my mop, and new mops are expensive, and the old mop will be almost impossible to get rid of (will require at least driving out to the edge of town, may require a dump fee) I'm going to try creating a new mop head. I bought sponges and a scrubby things and cut them to fit. Once the sponges are dry (probably tonight - had to rinse out the gelatin they're soaked in for storage) I guess I'll try krazy gluing them to the plastic which I ripped the old sponge off of. Thankfully Eor kept the nuts that attach it to the mop. I fully expect this to be a complete disaster, but it's an inexpensive experiment, anyhow. I wonder if I should look for rubber cement, instead of krazy glue?
I ran all around this morning - CVS, Rite Aid and Hannaford (again) - in search of the darned mophead and the particular type of shampoo that we just ran out of. Neutrogena Triple Moisture with the green cap (may have been for dandruff, I thought it was just for very dry hair) is nowhere to be found, now. It's a choice of the brown cap one (which might actually be the same thing, but who knows?) or moving up to Neutrogena's actual dandruff/psoriasis shampoo. Which, as they are advertising "new scent" might be fine - my major objection used to be that it smelled nasty, and the smell you put on your hair seems to be what people remember.
ETA: The "new scent" for Neutrogena T-Gel might best be described as Eau de Mechanic. I smell like I just got done working on my car! Very manly. I'm going to check with some co-workers and see if they think this is actually an attractive smell for me, because I suspect it's not. Might be okay for Eor, though.
