Of course I really have no idea when it started snowing. I slept in until 8am, then staggered in to take a bath, checked my email and LJ and didn't even look out the window until 9am, at which point there was already a good layer built up.
The only thing approaching useful I've done so far, today, was to write a letter to one of my step-sisters (Jojo), and asked her for addresses for her and anyone she thinks might like to hear from me.
Did I mention that last night I sat down and copied over some of the old holiday card lists we found on New Year's Eve, and that there were addresses on there for people I haven't heard from in years? One of the lists was from 2008, so I imagine some people might have moved in three years, but maybe I'll try sending a card.
It's not like a new years resolution... let's say this is a project. Project Write Letters.
In addition it seems I may have inadvertently asked to become a member of a closed writing group. Someone posted on one of the LJ comms I'm in that's about writing and suggested people get into this group. I was listening to Eor talk about something and didn't really pay attention to what I was doing, certainly didn't read the FAQ, just went ahead and applied. This morning I started to read the FAQ and it's tl;dr, but the comm sounds like work. I certainly don't want to do any work, I just miraculously want to start writing. *le sigh!*
