Also, plans have been made YET AGAIN to go see The Hobbit. We keep getting disrupted by silly things like having bought tickets to Florida or a huge snow storm. This Saturday, maybe we'll be able to get it to really happen. :)

Because one must have something to look forward to. :)

I started re-reading Lord of the Rings about a month ago, though haven't got far and don't know if I'll finish because I'm SO scattered, lately. But last night I started dancing around and Eor asked what I was dancing to. "A chant [Hawk] made up when we were in high school, about Tom Bombadil." When I think about it, he must have been about thirteen. That's... actually kind of a hardcore fan, writing little chants about Tolkien characters when he was thirteen. It was simple, but a lot of fun if you have about three people playing. You can sing either line, randomly, and just step on the end of the last one sung:

And his coat is blue
And his boots are mellow-yellow
And his boots are mellow-yellow
And his boots are mellow-yellow
And his coat is blue
And his coat is blue
And his boots are mellow-yellow

I never really got his big fascination with Tom Bombadil, I thought he was a rather boring character, actually, and didn't seem to really advance the story in any way, but Hawk was tremendously disappointed that they left him out of the movie. Although, he didn't realize they had done so, for a while, because his friends told him that part happened when he was in the bathroom. Mean, or actually trying to save him from a disappointment?

I really need to go read my new books, now. Or LOTR. I need to drag myself away from the computer.
