the longest day

A brief synopsis -

I probably won't spell or type too well, I'm either still rather drunk or just totally exhausted, and I probably won't be able to do justice to this day, but it seems only fair to make my attempt while I'm still in the moment.

Visiting my Dad and step family: weird and out of synch, as always, but it was a good thing, nonetheless. My stepsister has an amazingly cute and smart 6 year-old girl, and I was happy to meet her. My Dad is improving with his boat-building and fixing - I didn't get to field test any, but they looked quite good.

Visiting with rowantree: really pleasant and fun, as always. We walked around Belfast and she showed me what had changed and remained the same, showed me the bear sculptures. She's always charming.:)

Dancing: Damn! I'm glad eor and I went! Almost thought we wouldn't, because I was tired from four and a half hours of driving and Matt wasn't feeling too great to start with. But we girded our loins and entered the fray... Very shortly after we got there lemondropgirl showed up - she had made a guess as to where I would have planned to go dancing, because um, I forgot to say.

Going to watch the end of the Columbo, now. yay!
