drinks with the co-workers

I just had to share this snippet....

I went out for a drink after work with some of my co-workers last night (Baby Sister, The Incredible Shrinking Man, Casper, Bellona, Mr.Z, Mainertoo and his wife, Mrs G.). Casper was quiet for most of the evening, but then someone mentioned cocain and suddenly he piped up. "I never did cocain, but I did snort crystal meth, once. Excellent experience, I highly recommend it. Had sex with my girlfriend 3 times, then she went to bed and I was on the couch jacking off to Opra. I couldn't stop! Shooting blanks, I couldn't stop! No, I wasn't in a zone, I knew exactly what I was doing. Mrs G knows what I'm talking about. Highly recommend it." We were in hysterics, and when we calmed down he slapped some money down on the table and said, "My work here is done," and left.

My Aunt called late last night and said she would like to stop by on her way out of Maine. I gave her directions from 295. This morning I waited and waited, and close to 1PM she called and told me a long story about being up too late last night and being fuzzy and confused and couldn't seem to find the exit she should take off 95. Um... that's because I hadn't even thought about having to direct her to get off 95 and onto 295, I assumed she would naturally do that when headed toward Portland. Well, my bad I guess. Eventually I got her to tell me where she HAD ended up - she was at the Kennebunk Rest Area. So I drove down there and we visited for a while in Burger King. Well, you do what you can - it's been a couple of years since I've seen her, and she is my favorite Aunt. Rather on the dizzy side, as you can probably tell, but so totally sweet and fun that the drive was worth it.:)

(I'd say dizzy is a family trait, but if I can emulate her in other ways and be as well-loved as she is I'll be happy.;))

(no subject)

We were thinking about going out to Rocky Horror tonight, but nobody who I've talked to about it has shown any interest. Hm. I probably didn't talk it up far and wide enough. Maybe we could think about going on the 16th. That's August 16th, folks, so write to me if you're interested. So now that I've decided I'm probably not going out, perhaps I can get out the vodka.
