Do you suppose that if my baking powder is thirteen years out of date that might have something to do with my cornbread seeming a little dense?
I feel as though I've been terribly lazy and self-indulgent, today - slept on the couch for a while (or at least pretended to sleep - it felt almost the same), watched a movie ("I Capture the Castle"), and read a lot of fic and a big chunk of "What Jane Austen Ate..." But I also went out and gassed up the car and went to the grocery store for more baking powder, and cooked chicken in hot red sauce and another cornbread. So, yeah. I guess the moral of the story is that there's still a ton more I could have done if I'd felt up to it, but frankly, I didn't. The throat was far less sore, today, but the sinuses have kicked in, I was a little dizzy and had no energy.

Tomorrow I possibly have an assignation at 8am to give an old cd player away to some random person from freecycle who wants it. Trouble is, she wrote me so late and hasn't written again... I don't want to hang out in the Post Office for a half hour and then find out she didn't get my email. However, since I don't have a cellphone that might well be what I end up doing. Oh, wait... I guess I could phone her, as she did give me her cell number. Augh. I hate the phone.

[livejournal.com profile] daegaer, have you heard about the manga Bible??
