Goddam frikkin forty two degrees in here when we got home, today. Bastard furnace. We've got a fire going in the fireplace, but the damned furnace has already needed to be reset. I've piled on another layer - I usually wear leggings under my pants and a chamois shirt and sweatshirt over my t-shirt, but I've added another sweater and my pajama pants.
Rumor has it that some research shows that being cold helps one lose weight. That is, if you can resist the urge to eat EVERYTHING, particularly ALL the fatty foods. I maued down on potato chips at supper, and started nibbling on the fattiest bits of roast beef as I was cutting it up for our lunch, tomorrow.
It is true that I've lost an inch or more around my waist in the past few weeks, but I don't know whether to atribute that to being cold all the time or all the snow shovelling and moving of furniture.
I do love my Eor. I had to go out to the barn to fetch my work clothes which were hung up on a line which he strung in the barn loft. I wasn't feeling all that happy to be going by myself through the dark and the cold, so I invited him along, and he laughed heartily, but then he manufactured an errand so that he would be out there with me. ;)
