I've just spent two days with someone who's probably in her 70s and quite capable of running me ragged. :) Eor commented how vital she is. Yesterday we visited someone she's hoping to lure to do a storytelling gig in Canada and then did the Shaker Village tour, and today I drove her North to see other friends. Such great conversations. She does a lot of community organizing, which... I don't know how, but some people just thrive on that sort of thing. I don't think I could. At one point we were talking about invasive weeds and she said she's done just talking about them - her next step is to go to her town council and offer to organize high school students to clean out some invasives. Because why not. Some people have a talent. She said (not bragging, either, but as an example of how 'easy' it is) that she can make 50 phone calls and get 90 people to show up to a storytelling willing to pay $20 apiece. A half-day's work. I hate making phone calls. ;)
