We've been having a standard 3-day weekend: pulling wild rose and barberry. Yesterday we finished clearing about a 20x20ft area between two stone walls and raked it to seed to wildflowers. Pics are unimpressive: Stone walls, dead leaves, trees in the background, brush heap here, funeral pyre there, the usual.
In local coronavirus news, there's reports from people who go to gun stores that all the ammunition is bought out. This makes me nervous - I'm afraid these people are going to go all Mad Max and fuck it up for those of us who are trying to do all the right things. In our grocery store for some reason the plain non-fat yogurt, large jars of honey, brown sugar, flour and all the pastas (including gluten free) are selling out quickly. I get the staples, but yogurt?
In our own personal news, nothing is much different. Eor has been working from home the past week, but he prefers avoiding people anyway and is fine with this. I have to go to work, still, so see no need to isolate more than usual. And the local joke is that people are urged to keep 6ft distance from each other, and Mainers are like "That seems a little close."
