Well, I did it. I signed up. Oddly, though, their site seems to be very determined that I did not, and won't let me log in. I'll wait until tonight, and if it still doesn't let me log in I'll try the sign-up process again.

I'm scared of NaNo. Mostly scared that I won't start at all, because I've been shilly-shallying over which story-line to attempt. But I think I have decided: I should choose the stupidest most inane concept I can come up with. Why? Because that way I won't beat myself up for 'ruining' a good idea.

Given the requirement of being dumb, it does have to interest me, so I'm thinking it should include bi boys.

Since I don't want to do a lot of research, I can use my high school years as the setting. Although what I can remember of my high school years is rather dim. But that way preparation for the next few days can include typing up my journals from high school.

Soooo.... If I write 2,000 words for 25 days I should be to the 50,000 word mark. It doesn't sound so bad put that way. Except when I think about how hard it is for me to even write 100 word for a drabble. Right.

*is scared*

Yay! You can do it!

Remember - quantity not quality. Just write down any old rubbish and don't edit any of it out. That's my plan, at least.
