possibly mildly amusing, but more likely just annoying, work rant

Note: I don't think that this gives away any Super Sekrit Information, because everyone knows we use CTX machines - I mean, they're huge and grey-tan and have 'CTX' in great big red letters on the side and are sitting right out there where you can see them in our airport.  But you'll notice I went through and replaced anything that might tell you what sorts of things we look at with [something inoccuous], to save you all from knowing what sorts of inoccuous-looking things you might want to disguise your next explosive device as.

Commentary on "Last Day Of the Month"

No, I'm not doing a Director's Cut, it's not like anyone wants that. :)  I just figured I might as well pick on my own story. 

A month?  A month is long enough for Winston to change his way of thinking?  Even with the resident shrink? 

And what's with this jumping around in time all vaguely? 

And for Dog'sake did I have to have Ray have done such sick things?  With Peter and Egon?  Really.  Was that necessary?  (It went a little beyond the original stated goal of just making him a little less naive than he's usually portrayed.)  (Speaking of which, I still like the line about him having wet dreams about ghosts.)

And what about that other fic that was supposed to fit in between 'Just One Kiss' and this one?  The silly one where Ray turns into a woman?  I mean, at least putting that in would have allowed Winston more thinking time and fodder, but I never even wrote it.  I could write it, and then put all the action in what is now known as "Last Day Of the Month" into a more chronological order.  It would all become a much longer story, but it would probably make more sense.  Plainly speaking, I think I'm just too lazy right now. 

Would it be worth it?  If I ever decide I'm feeling less lazy, that is.

Hm, I'm getting that error on my email again:

I suppose it must be a good thing that it can't find Hades.  Perhaps it will go to Heaven.  Or I'll go to the shower and avoid further soul-tarnishing.

(no subject)

We had steak and cheese from Norm's for eor's birthday dinner, and listened to part of one of the CDs I got him.  :) 

Now, however, he's trying to get the DNS to work, because Network Solutions screwed us over.  Soooo.... if anyone has sent us email today and it's bounced, that would be why.  Bear with, it'll hopefully be back up sometime tomorrow.  My Yahoo address still works, of course.  (derienme... you can put it together from there, right?)
